And now: A message from the Coast Community Library in Point Arena:

Hello Parents,

Our local library has great plans: Summer Reading Program 2023.

The SRP launch event is June 10 at 4:00 p.m. with Xtreme Science Magic. Kids, teens, and adults can sign up for the program that day through the end of July, and when they do, they get a free book. When they finish the challenge, they will also be entered to win the grand prize in their age group.

We are also offering Lunch at the Library this summer. It will begin on June 20 at noon and continue each week, Tuesday through Friday, until school begins again. Anyone 18 and under qualifies to receive a lunch. After lunch each day, a program will be offered that may include arts, crafts, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), outdoor activities, or creative play.

It is going to be a very busy summer for me at the library, but it is so worth it to make sure our local youth begin the next school year sharp and ready to go.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Mellisa Hannum, Branch Librarian (she/her)
