Our mural project is entering into the final design phase! We can't wait for you to see the additional faces of our students in our final development phase. We extend our sincere gratitude to Nicole Ponsler for her incredible work in capturing the essence, spirit, and heart of our special school!

Our students receive high-quality theater instruction weekly at the Point Arena Theater under the guidance of skilled educator and coach Bryn Harris. In this small, personalized setting, students are immersed in the performing arts while developing confidence, creativity, and the ability to take risks in a supportive environment. This intimate structure allows for individualized attention and meaningful growth, offering an experience often associated with private school programs while remaining rooted in a community-focused public school setting. Thank you, Bryn, for partnering with us and making this possible for our students!

Students attending our after school program receive weekly gymnastics instruction through a partnership with The Village Studio and Danielle Warner. This unique collaboration provides students with access to high-quality coaching and skill development in a supportive, structured environment. With expert instruction that mirrors the benefits of private coaching, students are able to build strength, coordination, confidence, and foundational gymnastics skills while engaging in a fun and enriching enrichment opportunity. Last summer, our students had an amazing time out on the water through our Kids & Kayaks Program in partnership with the Redwood Coast Land Conservancy 🌊

We’re excited to bring it back even sooner this year—starting in the spring and continuing into our summer program!

Best of all, this experience is completely free for our families and students. We can’t wait to get back out on the water with our students! 🚣‍♀️

Today was our first day of Teacher Appreciation Week! Thank you to our teachers! We love you and are so thankful for you!

Tomorrow is the state ELA assessment in grades 3-8. Please help your child prepare for the assessment by encouraging them to do their best, get a good night’s sleep, and develop a healthy perspective (i.e., think positive and persevere even if taking tests is not something they prefer). We have amazingly brilliant students and we know they will each do great! Thank you for your partnership in helping all of our students to reach their full potential!

Hello Manchester Community! Our first day of school is on Wednesday, August 23rd. Please stop by the front office to pick up your registration packet anytime during the week or weekend and return before the first day of school. Also, some new and amazing things are happening this year! In addition to now offering STEAM, Culinary, PhyEd, and Art programming, full-day school will be offered for all students grades TK-8th grade! All 4-year-olds are welcome to attend regardless of when they turn age 5! TK-8th grade school starts at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m. M, T, R, and F. School ends at 1:45 p.m. for all students on Wednesdays. We are looking forward to a great school year! ¡Hola comunidad de Manchester! Nuestro primer día de clases es el miércoles 23 de agosto. Pase por la oficina principal para recoger su paquete de inscripción en cualquier momento durante la semana o el fin de semana y devuélvalo antes del primer día de clases. ¡Además, algunas cosas nuevas y sorprendentes están sucediendo este año! Además de ofrecer programas STEAM, Culinary, PhyEd y Art, ¡se ofrecerá escuela de día completo para todos los estudiantes de los grados TK-8! ¡Todos los niños de 4 años pueden asistir sin importar cuándo cumplan 5 años!
